How the components work together
A worm drive combines a screw-like shaft with a mating wheel. Together they provide speed reduction and transmit torque within a compact arrangement. The shaft, wheel, bearings and housing work as a system.
Select for the complete assembly
Review the required output torque, reduction ratio, input arrangement and available installation space. Confirm the drive connection and mounting dimensions against the valve and operator drawings.
Confirm the conditions of use
Material, lubrication, environment and duty affect the selection. Do not assume that every worm drive is self-locking: holding and back-driving behaviour must be confirmed for the selected assembly.
What to share with us
Provide the existing part or assembly drawing, material requirements, quantity and mating-part details. For replacement parts, photographs help identify the connection, but do not replace dimensional confirmation.
